Video Documentary

Like music, film has the ability to capture and communicate life in a unique and compelling way. The interns from the Greater Love Institute 2004 (Summer internship program for young adults) shot almost 4 hours of unscripted interviews of women and men on the streets and in the shelters of Philadelphia, PA. These interviews have been edited and mixed with additional B-Footage to create the DVD component of this project. Here individuals have the opportunity to speak for themselves, saying what academic essays and art cannot. This short documentary (approx. 15 mins.) is an ideal conversation starter for groups interested in engaging the realities of poverty and particularly homelessness.
